Why may The Old Cider Press not be suitable for young children?
The cottage is one of twelve converted barns which share about one-and-a-half acres of grounds, which you are free to use and enjoy. This includes a large pond. The pond is in a fenced in area, but cannot be seen from The Old Cider Press. You are welcome to bring children, but you must be aware of the pond. We would suggest you check this area when you arrive and don't let children play near the pond unsupervised.
Where are the nearest shops and pubs?
About half-a-mile towards Crackington Haven brings you to 'Higher Crackington' where you'll find a small village post office and shop. If you continue on, the road drops towards the coast and brings you to the bay at Crackington Haven. Here you will find the local pub, The Coombe Barton Inn which also serves food.
